Why Socratico?
Award-Winning Coaches
Coach Ivan (Debate) and Coach Reese (Speech) bring over 18 years of combined coaching experience, with 36+ personal awards in speech and debate, and 100+ students who’ve achieved competitive success across Asia, Europe, and North America. We don’t have part-time or rotating instructors — students learn from the same dedicated coaches every week, building consistency, trust, and long-term mentorship.
Founder-Led Instruction
All classes are personally taught by Ivan and Reese. As founders, they are fully invested in every student’s progress and competition results — their names and the future of Socratico depend on it.
Small Classes, Big Impact
Each class is limited to just 4–6 students, allowing for more individual speaking time, targeted feedback in every session, and focused tournament preparation.
Direct Parent-Coach Communication
No middle layers — parents can talk to coaches directly, get progress updates, share goals, and make sure their child’s learning is fully personalized.

Socrates
Our Programs
Public Speaking
Our public speaking programs — Storytelling, Persuasive, and Impromptu — are designed for students in Grades 4–12 and delivered in small groups (4–6 students) to ensure personalized coaching. Students learn to craft compelling messages, engage audiences, and speak with confidence and clarity. Led by championship-level instructor Coach Reese Johnson, our courses are available online to students across North America and Asia.
Debate
Our debate program prepares students for success in World Schools, BP, CNDF, and other global formats. Through weekly sessions, they sharpen critical thinking, argumentation, and rebuttal skills while learning to engage with diverse perspectives. We offer beginner and advanced tracks, plus special-topic courses in Economics, AI & Technology, and Media Literacy — all taught by internationally awarded debater Coach Ivan Velentey.
Workshops & Special Events
Throughout the year, we host free and paid events led by our expert coaches — from trial classes and themed intensives to competition prep camps and university admissions talks. These workshops are designed to inspire new learners, deepen skills, and build community across our student base. Recent highlights include “The Power of Public Speaking” with Coach Reese and our Competition Bootcamp for Asia & U.S. tournaments.
